Glee is an American musical comedy-drama television series that airs on Fox. It focuses on a high school show choir, also known as a glee club, set within the fictional William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio.^[1] A pilot episode of the show was broadcast after American Idol on May 19, 2009,^[2] and the first season began airing on September 9, 2009.^[3] On September 21, 2009, Fox officially gave the series a full-season pick-up.^[4]

The show was created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, and originally envisioned as a film rather than a TV series. Murphy selects all music featured within the series himself, and intends to maintain a balance between show tunes and chart hits.

Sometimes in the television world these days its hard to find a comedy that is enjoyable, contagious and AMAZING. But Glee holds all of those qualities.

Glee is a colourful, fast paced and witty take on school life, and although it is very much a characterture, it presents a point of view which you can identify with.It offers us characters who are willing to do what they love, and follow their heart despite how unpopular it will make them. People are beginning to realise that life is not all about the school years, and being true to yourself is more important than fitting in with the cool clique 100% of the time.We all have something to give to this world that will make it better and that will take us far, we just need to find out how to use what we have.

What makes this show even better, is how funny it is! Jane Lynch is hilarious as the ball-busting, feminist-extremist cheer leading coach! On top of this the inventive use of A Capella music as a underling soundtrack is exciting and fresh. The way that music has been woven so thoughtfully throughout the whole show just strengthens the storyline that music is the driving passion of the main characters and that Glee club is FUN!

It is really a unique new show and I really, really love it! Finally have some good show to follow. It reminds me of my choir days in highschool. And and music is, brilliant! Celine' songs are also in it !  Boardway rocks! Waiting for the songtack of Season One, and I can smell Emmy Awards and Golden Global Awards next year!

Compared to chinese shows we see on TV everyday, why chinese writters can not create such shows?!
